This video is about solving and graphing rational functions. This rational function function is predetermined to have a 3rd degree numerator, a 2nd degree denominator, ONE hole, and ONE vertical asymptote. This rational function function will also be a "slant one! a slant one!"
It is important to pay attention to how to plug in the rational function into the graphing calculator (if inserting the factored form, DON'T include the cancellations, the holes). It would also be important to correctly place the parentheses where they go in the graphing calculator, so as to separate the numerator from the denominator. Be careful with the limit notation and the symbol that informs whether to look to the right or the left of the asymptote. One other key point to know: when graphing, the result will NEVER touch the asymptote!
