A point I failed to mention on accident was how to utilize the graphing calculator to check our matrix. First, we press 2nd matrix and go to EDIT. We change the setting to match that of the matrix: since the box is a 3 by 4, we set our calculator to 3x4. We then plug in all the numbers in our first and original matrix box into the calculator in the proper places. We then press 2nd quit. Again, we go on 2nd matrix and select MATH this time, scrolling down to rref( and press that. Once it appears on our regular screen, we then go on 2nd matrix yet again, staying on the first option and pressing ENTER so that it appears on the regular screen with rref(. Close it with the other parentheses. It should look like this: rref([A]) and ENTER. A matrix then appears on our screen withe the triangle of zeroes and the stair-step of ones and numbers that tell us what the values of x, y, and z are. This lets us know if we got the correct answer or not.
